Introducing you to all that is new in the world of Book a Chef!

We will be regularly updating our news letter for our chefs and customers alike to know what is going on behind the scenes.

New Faces in the Book a Chef Office

Idris joined the sales team recently to help with the increasing demand and expansion of our business.

Much like the rest of our team, Idris earned his stripes in the catering industry before changing career direction completely. After a 13 year career in the busy kitchens of Shropshire hotels, Idris decided to slow things down a little after his last posts as an Executive Chef. He hung up his apron in 2016 and spent the last 2 years working in recruitment to the industrial sector, before making the leap to us to marry his two skill sets together.

We are currently looking to add another resourcer to our team, so that we can continue to head hunt talented chefs in new areas at the rate needed to keep up with demand! Unfortunately, we can’t clone our wonderful Lauren, so if you, or anyone you know is looking for an exciting and fast paced career in recruitment, please don’t hesitate to contact us!!

Introducing: Book a Chef Birmingham

Due to our success in the Cheshire, Manchester and Liverpool Areas, we have decided to expand our reaches into the West Midlands. Our campaigns into the area started this week, with new chefs and businesses setting up their profiles within hours of our first contact. We aim to continue providing the solution to the industry shortage of chefs, and the affordable option for hiring reliable temporary kitchen cover. Watch this space for more exciting opportunities increased availability.

Reliability Is Our Number 1 Priority!

We have created an ethos where our chefs have absolute flexibility and a sociable work pattern, with great rates of pay, in professional establishments.

Our business can only operate successfully with 100% reliability and professionalism from our chefs. For that reason, we have recently released our “Code of Conduct for Chefs”. It is essential that all new chefs who join our site understand what is expected of them before they accept any bookings from customers. Anyone who is not willing to abide by these basic terms is wasting their timesigning up. We have unfortunately had to remove 7 chefs from our site in the last few weeks, due to repeated offences or failing to adhere to the terms. There are no second chances, only life time bans! Thankfully, our core chef partners have really pulled their weight in picking up the last-minute shifts and cancellations, so a massive thanks is due to those guys.
