Another New Face!

Our search for an additional resourcer has ended. Charlotte has joined the team to concentrate efforts on our ever-growing demand for reliable chefs on the site. With another territory to tackle, it is vitally important to have new chefs creating profiles every day!

Charlotte has been hard at work screening applicant CVs, chasing chefs for their credentials and setting up new live profiles every day! Our availability for reliable, skilled chefs is growing in all our core areas, all over the North West and down into the West Midlands.

For a Chef to sign up, we need an up to date CV, Food Hygiene Certificate and references from previous employers. The rest is simple! If you are a chef looking for work, you are a few clicks away from well paid, flexible work!! Listen out for a call from Charlotte to complete your profile!

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like……….

Although it’s almost a swear word in most hospitality establishments, the dreaded “C – word” is fast approaching! make sure you are ready to capitalise on the most wonderful time of the year…….

As much as it’s nice to have a little bit of a breather after the summer holidays, Chefs and Venues are beginning to get ready for things to ramp up over the festive season. So, while Michael Bublé dusts off his microphone to release a new album, we would like to drop our chefs and customers a subtle reminder to get things organised.

(I know, I know, you vowed that you would never cook another Turkey or peel another sprout as long as you lived after last year, but it’s that time again…..)

To maximise on the work available, Chef availability needs to be up to date a month in advance.

Venue management aren’t going to leave it to chance the day before a shift to start booking adequate staff. December’s bookings will have been filling up since the first supermarkets put up their decorations sometime back in May.

We urge our chefs to get their availability calendar for December organised to say when you want work and just as importantly, when you don’t. It’s also important to set rates of pay that you are happy with, bearing in mind to keep them sensible enough to get bookings.

Guidelines would be based around time and a half to double time as a maximum for bank holidays and a maximum of around £35ph for Christmas day itself.

For all our customers; Book the chefs you need before they get snapped up!We advise that you try to tease the rota for December out of Chef’s office as early as possible. A lot of chefs will be grateful for a block month of well-paid work for December rather than odd days. If you get in early, you may be able to save yourself from some serious headaches.
